Instead of scanning paper documents, SmartCapture can import existing ditital files in BMP, PNG, JPEG, TIFF, and PDF formats.

By default, scanned documents are saved to the configured output Folder (C:\Users\User\Documents\SmartCapture\Hot_folder). |

Select one or more OCR languages. The more languages you select, the longer OCR may take. |

|||
Set a folder name for saving scanned and extracted files. It will be created under the Step 2 path. For more details, please see Output Options for Imported Documents. |

|
Return to the Home screen and start scanning.
Click |
|
Save the file to the Hot Folder (C:\Users\User\Documents\SmartCapture\Hot_Folder). SmartCapture automatically detects the file and launches. Click Run now to start data extraction. |

|
When OCR is complete, SmartCapture opens automatically in a new window to extract and display the scanned data. |

Once all required fields (Number, Date, and Total) are extracted, click |

|
Data extraction is complete when the file name displayed next to "File:" at the bottom of the screen disappears. Your files will be saved in the pre-set folder. |
