Using SmartCapture by Importing Electronic Document

You may import electronic document in BMP/PNG/JPEG/TIFF/PDF to access SmartCapture function for data extraction. There are two methods for electronic document importing:

a. Drag and drop the electronic document to this button

b. Save the electronic document in C:\Users\User\Documents\SmartCapture\Hot_Folder

Every time when electronic document is imported, SmartCapture will automatically execute the preset data extraction task.

We may click btn_SmartCapture_settings button to adjust SmartCapture settings.

Here we have many different options at our disposal. Within the marked line you can determine the source folder.

We can select the preferred language.

We can determine the "Application Label" with the help of this option.

A very important setting can be found in the "Training Mode". This should be switched on because document types are automatically recognized by training in SmartCapture.

The name of the output folder can be defined here, which lies within the previously set file path.

First, you will be provided with a trial version, which will expire after one month. For further options we go to "Activation".

If you already have a license, you can enter it here. However, if you wish to purchase one, you will be redirected to the Plustek website to purchase your desired offer.

Now that all the settings for SmartCapture have been made, we can start importing electronic document.

There are two methods for electronic document importing:

a. Drag and drop the electronic document to electronic import button

b. Save the electronic document in C:\Users\User\Documents\SmartCapture\Hot_Folder

Here, the settings can be subsequently adjusted. As soon as all adjustments have been made, we can press "Next".

The OCR read-out process now begins, during which the data of the documents is read out.
