How should I do when my computer or SecureScan can not detect X-Mini?

Check the USB cable connection between the computer and scanner(Do not use USB hub).

2.Please try manually installing the driver. (For Windows OS)

a. Right-click on Windows Start ,then go to Device Manager.
b.The scanner shows under cameras-->USB2.0 scanner(The scanner needs to install default windows driver)
