File Format

This setting determines the file format of the OCR'd result. The following options are available from the drop-down menu:

Plain Text (*.txt)

Rich Text Format (*.rtf)

MS Excel Document (*.xlsx)

Portable Document Format (*.pdf)

Non-Searchable Portable Document Format (*.pdf)

MS Word Document (*.docx)

Electronic Publication (*.epub)

OFD (*.ofd)

Logo_AttentionSome file formats may be unavailable on your screen. The availability of file formats depends on what OCR application programs supported by DocAction Plus are installed on your system.

Send to

Select a target application to which you want to send the OCR'd results for viewing and post processing. Click btn_associated_gb to have DocAction Plus automatically linked an application that is associated with the file format you specified above. Click btn_browse_gb to browse to the desired program folder and select the executable file (*.exe) of the desired application program. The application is displayed here with its full file path and execution file name.

Logo_AttentionMake sure you select an application that can process the specified file format here. OCR'd result cannot be displayed properly if the specified file format is not supported by that application.

Paper Setting

You have two options to save the scanned images:

Generate one file for all pages: save all the scanned images into one file.

Generate one file every X pages: save every X pages as a file. You can define the number of pages to be combined in one file.

Quality Setting

If PDF is chosen as the file format, you may adjust the image quality either way:

Slide the thumb of the scroll bar to the right or left.

Click the +/- signs on the right and left ends.

You can adjust the quality value from 1 to 4. The higher the quality setting, the more detail is preserved, but a larger file size it would take.

Document Language

Select the recognition language to read your pages.
