Solution:

You are probably scanning black and white negatives and activate SilverFast iSRD®. The IR-based scanning feature is not work with B/W (except C41 process B/W). The reason is that silver halide emulsion blocks the infrared beam. While scanning silver halide B/W film, please deactivate the SilverFast iSRD® feature.

 

 

The indicator message refers to the scanner models as PS406, PS406U, PS506U, PS456U.

• Even if a document does not exceed the document feed tray's capacity, pages may not feed properly depending on the document type. In this case, decrease the number pages in the document feed tray.
• When scanning a multipage document in a single scan procedure using the feeder, make sure that all of the pages are identical in thickness, and quality of paper. Feeding different types of paper at one time may cause a paper jam.
• Documents with curled edges may result in folds and paper jams. Make sure to straighten out the curls before loading documents in the scanner.
• Handle paper edges with care, and be careful not to cut your fingers when loading documents.
• Scanning documents before the ink is dry will make the roller and scanning glass dirty, resulting in smears on the scanned image and other documents becoming dirty. Always make sure that the ink on a document is dry before scanning it.
• Scanning documents that are written in pencil or similar material will make the rollers and scanning glass dirty, resulting in smears on the scanned image.
• When scanning thin paper, text or image on the reverse side of the page may bleed through onto the scanned image. In this case, adjust the brightness under the scanning conditions.
• Scanning curled or creased documents may result in damage to the documents.

1. Click on “Start” and type “device manager” into the “Search Program and files” searchbox.

2. Select “Device Manager” from the results list to start the Device Manager.

9. A “Update Driver Warning” dialog may appear to warn you about installing the driver. Please ignore this warning and click “Yes” to continue installing this driver:

11. If you check the Device Manager now, you will see that your scanner will be listed correctly without an exclamation mark:

Unfortunately the applications that were included on the original installation CD with your scanner cannot be downloaded. Please contact your local vendor for replacement information.

You can use a regular blank white paper for calibration. Please make sure that the paper is as clean and as white as possible (do not use gray recycled paper for example). The paper should cover the entire length of the scanner (letter or A4 size recommended).

This two functions will be grayed-out if the respective IP cameras are not fully supported by the NVR .

 

You only need to review Security >> Log . Then the alarm icon will disappear .

Please add a working SMTP and FTP account in network settings . Then you can select Send e-mail notification and Send Image to FTP Server function.

If your IP cameras not support IO and Audio Trigger event , you need to add a motion detection first before you add a new event .

When you enable Advanced>>Schedule settings>>Record Schedule function , it will cause full day record botton grayed-out . You just need to cancel Record Schedule to restart full day record function .

 

1.Please click the refresh button whenever you want to add an IP camera to get the IP camera’s information .

2.Please make sure that IP cameras and LAN are in the same IP group .

 

 

Please check if your IP camera has digital PTZ or not . The NVR doesn’t support this kind of PTZ function . You can click these buttons , but they won’t work .

 

As a result of WAN and LAN are in the same IP group , it will have routing problem . Thus NVR will have internet settings error . You need to set WAN and LAN to the different IP group .

1.Please check your bandwidth status . If bandwidth isn’t sufficient for NVR , your liveview will not be fluent .

2.Please check if your IP cameras’ resolution settings are exceeding the NVR’s capability or not . You can try to reduce the resolution format , quality and FPS to increase smoothness .

The difference between black and red record files is that red file include event records while black files do not .

1.Please open the Advance>>Network>>WAN>>Port Forwarding , select Port Forwarding Setting and click submit . If no error message appears below , the setting was applied successfully .

2.After you set the Port Forwarding correctly and it still doesn’t work , It means that your router doesn’t support auto setting capability for Port Forwarding . You will need to add a NAT account manually .
